Where is Suriname?

Where is Suriname?”…that’s what I thought when I found out I had to go there to “earn my pay”.  While Suriname is not flourishing with BJJ it is rich with culture and I had a good time.  It’s the smallest country in South America and is situated between Guyana and French Guiana.  The country is famed for its diverse ethnic makeup including Creoles, Maroons, East Indian, Hindustani and Javanese.  I actually saw a Jewish Synagogue adjacent to a Muslim Mosque using the same perimeter wall.  Unlike most South American countries Dutch is the official language.  I had a good time and the mosquitoes were’t too bad…headed to Guyana.
